White Gardenia

The memories I've created here,

of my family growing into the people we are today.

Meeting my brother-in-law for the first time, in the living room.

Family dinners in the kitchen,

gut busting laughs echo through the house.

The measure of our heights in the door way,

the glow-in-the-dark stars that were plastered on the ceiling and walls,

where we would pretend to be in a observatory.

The bathroom that all four of us shared,

watching us grow from little girls to grown women.

The trees we climbed, for hours enjoying the moment.
