I never thought I would love something as much as I love my cat.

The way he acts like a dog panting for food.

He looks at you with big yellowish green eyes

Waiting for you to drop a scrap of whatever you are eating.

He jumps on the bed

Pawing at the air

Wanting me to pet him.

And when I listen to Hallelujah on my phone

And start to feel too much

And almost start to cry

He crawls out of his sleepy ball and comes to sit on my chest.

Because that is his way of hugging to make sure I am alright.
