In the moment

I love hearing the rain hit the car. The thunder of the water imitates a rollercoaster. With waves of heavy and light. Watching the rain race down the window reminds me of easier times When all I worried about was getting along with siblings and finishing homework.

As I sit in the steamy car in the middle of June I wonder when my life began to get complicated the rain begins to slows down And I smile As I live in the moment once again hearing the rain hit the car softly.
